RESERVATIONS, DEPOSIT AND FINAL PAYMENT
The following deposit policy will apply:
CHINA and ASIA programs US$250.00 per person
YANGTZE RIVER programs US$500.00 per person
CUSTOMIZED FIT programs US$300.00 per person
All deposits are due within 14 days of the reservation date. Final
payment must be received 45 days before the commencement of the
tour. Failure to meet the deposit and final payment requirements
will result in release of reservation.
PAYMENTS
ACT accepts payment by check payable to Asia Connect Tours or
American Express, Visa and Master Card. For credit card payments,
an authorization form provided by ACT must be completed full and
signed by the card-holder. Third party credit cards are not accepted.
Travel Insurance payment must be paid by check only. ACT reserves
the right to decline acceptance of a credit card if deemed necessary.
CANCELLATIONS
All cancellations must be received by ACT in writing or facsimile.
Full refund, less US$100.00 administrative fee per person for
any cancellations received in writing up to 60 days prior to departure.
Thereafter the following cancellation charges will apply:
59 to 30 days before departure US$250.00 per person
(Yangtze River program only) US$500.00 per person
29 to 8 days before departure US$400.00 per person
(Yangtze River program only) US$800.00 per person
7 to 1 days before departure 50% of tour price per person
On or after departure date 100% of tour price per person
Air fares are non refundable once ticket issued or subject to
airlines' rules and regulations. Travel Insurance is non refundable
once deposit was made.
CHANGE AND LATE BOOKING FEE
A late booking fee of US$50.00 per person will apply to bookings
received within 30 days prior to departure date of the tour. A
fee of US$50.00 per change plus air ticket change fee imposed
by the airlines will apply to any changes made after the booking
has been confirmed and a deposit has been received.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
ACT recommends the purchase of travel insurance.
It provides a comprehensive program
through Travel Insured International. Benefits include
Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Travel delay,
Baggage delay, Medical expense and emergency assistance. A
certificate of insurance that describe in detail the coverage
and exclusions will be mailed to you once the specified insurance
premium is received. The premium is
determined based on the cost of the trip, and the age of the
travelers.

DOCUMENTATION
Travelers are responsible to obtain proper travel documentation.
A passport with minimum 6 months validity is required of al nationals.
Visas are required for China and some Indochina countries. Nationals
of countries other than the U.S. should check with their booking
agent or consulate offices regarding other possible visa requirements.
Visa fees are not included in the tour price.
RESPONSIBILITY
Asia Connect Tours gives notice that all tickets and coupons issued,
all arrangements for transport or conveyance or accommodations
are made as agents upon the express condition that they shall
not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or
irregularity which may be occasioned either by reason or defect
in any vehicle, or through the act or default of any company or
person engaged in conveying the passenger, or in carrying out
the arrangements of the tours, or otherwise in connection therewith,
or of any hotel proprietor or services, sickness, weather quarantine,
strikes, other causes or acts of God. All tour itineraries and
prices may be affected by alterations in steamship, air, and railroad
services of the various countries. ACT reserves the right to withdraw
a tour announced in this program, substitute hotels, and alterations
in the itineraries as deemed necessary to the better carrying
out of the tours. The Chinese handling agency has sole and exclusive
control over the operation of all tours in China and reserves
the right to make alterations or adjustments in the itinerary
as to destinations, transportation, accommodations and all other
services. ACT reserves the right to decline or accept or to reject
any person as a member of any tour at any time if necessary. The
airlines concerned are not held responsible for any act, omission,
or event during the time the passengers are not onboard their
planes or conveyance. The contract in use by the airline and the
passenger shall constitute as the sole contract. Any other transportation,
travel companies used shall have no responsibility or liability
to any traveler aside from their liability as common carriers.
