Day 1 - USA/Beijing
Your journey begins as you board an international flight bound for China.
Day 2 - Beijing
Landing in Beijing, the capital of China, you are met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 - Beijing (B/L)
Today you will explore the historic
Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
The imperial tour of Beijing concludes at the Summer Palace, a luxurious royal garden that
provided royal families with rest and entertainment.
Day 4 - Beijing (B/L/SD)
After breakfast, you will be amazed
by one of the great wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China. Next is a visit to the
ancient burial site of the royal court during the Ming Dynasty, called the Ming Tombs. The
day concludes with a traditional gourmet Peking duck dinner.
Day 5 - Beijing/Luoyang (B/L/D)
A morning tri-shaw tour of the
Hutongs will take you through the neighborhood, behind the Shishahai Lake. Visit the
courtyard- style homes, and the mansion of Prince Gong of the Qing Dynasty. Next you will
visit the Drum Tower. In the afternoon, you will board the Beijing Rail Road Station,
which will travel overnight to Luoyang.
Day 6 -
Luoyang/Dengfeng (Shaolin Temple) (B/L/D)
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of
Luoyang's landmarks - Longmen Grottos and White Horse Temple. Continue by coach to
Dengfeng to visit the Shaolin Temple.
Day 7 - Dengfeng (Shaolin Temple) (B/L/D)
You are invited to practice with a
team of Chinese martial art masters and conclude the day with a visit to the Zhong
Yue Temple.
Day 8 - Dengfeng (Shaolin Temple) /Luoyang/Xian (B/L)
Travel by coach back to Luoyang and
board another train to Xian.
Day 9 - Xian (B/L/SD)
Today you will tour one of the
world's most incredible sights, the burial grounds of Emperor Qin, guarded by thousands of
detailed life-sized terra-cotta warriors. This will be followed by visits to the
Provincial Museum. In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner with traditional
theatrical performance at the Tang Dynasty Theater.
Day
10 - Xian/Guilin (B/L)
Continue the city tour by visiting
the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, and the Ming-era City Gate. Next, you will take a short flight
to Guilin, China's most scenic city, best known for its immortal stone mountains and
fantastic caves. Enjoy an afternoon tour of the Reed Flute Cave.
Day 11 - Guilin (B/L/SD)
This morning you will travel by
riverboat along the Li River, surrounded by delicate limestone peaks and beautiful
landscape. The day concludes with a dinner and a Chinese cultural show.
Day 12 - Guilin/Hong Kong (B/L)
Board a short flight to Hong Kong,
known as " The Pearl of the Orient", and transfer to your hotel where you
may spend the rest of the day at your leisure.
Day 13 - Hong Kong (B)
The morning tour starts with a
drive to Victoria Peak for a panoramic view of Hong Kong Island and its harbor. Followed
by a trip to the floating city of Aberdeen and the breathtaking views over sandy beaches
of Repulse Bay. The tour ends with a visit to the bustling Stanley market, where you can
shop and bargain with vendors.
Day 14 - Hong Kong/USA (B)
Transfer to the airport and bid
farewell to Hong Kong as you board your international flight back to the States.
