Day 1 - USA/Beijing
Your journey begins as you board an international flight bound for China.
Day 2 - Beijing
You are welcomed on arrival in Beijing, the capital of China with an incredible mix of
historic and modern landmarks. You are met and transferred to your hotel.
Day 3 - Beijing (B/L)
Today you will explore the historic
Tiananmen Square in the center of Beijing, the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven.
The imperial tour of Beijing concludes at the Summer Palace, a luxurious royal garden that
provided royal families with rest and entertainment.
Day 4 - Beijing (B/L/SD)
After breakfast, you will be amazed
by one of the great wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China. Next is a visit to the
ancient burial site of the royal court during the Ming Dynasty, called the Ming Tombs. The
day concludes with a traditional gourmet Peking duck dinner.
Day 5 - Beijing/Xian (B/L)
After a flight
to Xian, ancient capital of eleven Chinese dynasties, you will be transferred to your
hotel followed by the city tour to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Ming-era City Gate.
Day 6 - Xian (B/L/SD)
Today you will tour one of the
world's most incredible sights, the burial grounds of Emperor Qin, guarded by thousands of
detailed life-sized terra-cotta warriors. This will be followed by visits to the
Provincial Museum. In the evening, you will enjoy a dinner with traditional
theatrical performance at the Tang Dynasty Theater.
Day 7 - Xian/Luoyang (B/L/D)
Depart by train from Xian for
Luoyang and arrive in the late afternoon.(soft seat on train)
Day 8 - Luoyang (B/L/D)
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of
Luoyang's landmarks: Longmen Grottos and White Horse Temple.
Day 9 - Luoyang/Kaifeng (B/L/D)
After a short drive to Kaifeng, you
will explore Zhongshanlu Beiduan (the Imperial Street of the Song Dynasty), Xiangguo
Monastery, and Dragon Pavilion.
Day 10 - Kaifeng/Anyang (B/L/D)
The ancient city of Anyang, boasts
a history of over 3,000 years and is situated in the northernmost part of Henan Province.
Upon arrival at Anyang, visit Wen Feng Tower and the Ancient City of the Yin Dynasty.
Day 11 - Anyang/Zhengzhou/Nanjing (B/L/D)
During the day you will tour
the city of Zhengzhou and in the evening you will board an overnight train to
Nanjing, China’s southern capital.
Train: soft sleeper compartment accommodates up to 4 passengers.
Day 12 - Nanjing (B/L/D)
After arriving in Nanjing, you will
visit the national hero Dr. Sun Yat-sen’s Mausoleum and stroll along the Qinhuai
River.
Day 13 - Nanjing/Hangzhou (B/L)
This morning you will depart
Nanjing and travel by train to Hangzhou. At Hangzhou, you will take a cruise along the
placid West Lake.
Day 14 - Hangzhou (B/L/D)
Visit other city highlights
including, Lingyin Monastery, Pagoda of six Harmonies and Hangzhou's famous Longjing tea
plantation where produces one of the China's most famous tea.
Day 15 - Hangzhou/Shanghai (B/L)
Today you will take a train to
Shanghai, China's most cosmopolitan city. The rest of the day at your own leisure.
Day 16 - Shanghai (B/L/D)
Tour Shanghai's premier sights: the
traditional Yu Garden, the waterfront Bund, and acclaimed Shanghai Museum. Conclude the
day with an interesting traditional Acrobatic Show.
Day 17 - Shanghai/USA
Transfer to Pudong International
Airport and bid farewell to Shanghai as you board your international flight back to the
States.
